College Football Playoff Committee Rankings - Nov. 23

November 23, 2021 by Staff

Ohio State jumps Alabama for second place, and Cincinnati moves into the Top 4.

There was significant movement throughout the Top 25, but the fourth set of rankings from the College Football Playoff Committee released Tuesday night on ESPN leaves Georgia at No. 1 while the Crimson Tide fall one spot to 3rd.

Michigan sits on the cusp at No. 5 as the Wolverines get set to host Ohio State on Saturday. Notre Dame lurks just behind the Maize & Blue as the Irish move up two spots.

Oklahoma State is also up two places to No. 7, while Baylor, Ole Miss and Oklahoma all jump 3 spots to land at 8th through 10th in that order,

Oregon plummets 8 spots to No. 11 after the 38-7 beatdown administered by Utah on Saturday. But the Ducks could still wind up with a revenge game against the Utes in the Pac-12 Championship. Utah has secured its spot, and Oregon can do the same with a home win over Oregon State on Saturday in the annual Civil War rivalry game.

Michigan State drops from 7th to 12th after being annihilated 56-7 at Ohio State.

Mississippi State is the only team to drop out of the poll (was 25th), and Clemson moves in for the first this year at No. 23.
