Congrove Computer Rankings: Cincinnati Jumps Alabama For 3rd, Behind Georgia and Ohio State

Undefeated Georgia maintains a fairly large lead over Ohio State in the latest Congrove Computer Rankings, released after the conclusion of the Hawaii game against Colorado State. Ohio State easily holds onto 2nd while unbeaten Cincinnati leaps over Alabama.

The Bulldogs' lead over the Buckeyes shrunk from 6.95 rankings points a week ago to 4.53 this week. While Georgia as pushing around FCS member Charleston Southern 56-7, Ohio State was ripping then-No. 11 Michigan State by the same score.

Cincinnati secured the No. 3 spot after dismantling SMU 48-14 while Alabama dropped a spot on the heels of a 42-35 home win over Arkansas.

Oklahoma State and Notre Dame remain 5th and 6th, respectively, while Michigan drops a notch to 7th and Oklahoma descends 1 spot to 8th.

A pair of schools from Group of Five conferences move into the top ten as Louisiana climbs 4 spots to 9th and undefeated UTSA advances two spots to 10th.
