November 19, 2020 by Staff

NOTES: On Wednesday, it was announced that the Houston at SMU game was scratched due to Covid. This was one of our EASY PICKINS games.

On Thursday, it was announced the Michigan State-Maryland and the San Jose State-Fresno State games were dropped due to Covid and will NOT be rescheduled. These were two of the computer's UPSET picks and reduces the total number of projected upsets from 13 to 11.

Notations have been made on the Feature Picks page.

This week's Feature Picks include 15 hand-selected games in the "Easy Pickins" and "Hold Your Horses" categories, while the computer projects 13 upsets.

Every forecast upset is automatically included each week and, since 2002, the computer is (.448) SU, and 811-665 ATS (.549) ATS on such games.

Among this week's opposite picks are Tulane knocking off undefeated Tulsa and UCF bringing Cincinnati's unbeaten season to an end. The computer also has Penn State getting its first win and Michigan State notching its second victory.

"Easy Pickins" are games in which the computer likes the favorite with room to spare, and we hand-select the picks we agree with. Last week, our selections were 4-0 SU and ATS.

Among the six games we've chosen In that category, we like home teams Central Michigan, Temple, SMU, and NC State. But we also like a couple of Big Ten road teams in Michigan and Wisconsin.

Our choices in the "Hold Your Horses" category went 2-0 SU and ATS last week. This week, the 8 games we've selected are the most in this category that we can remember including any time in recent years. These are games where the computer likes the favorite, but by fewer points than the oddsmakers.

Here we like Kentucky, Indiana and even Florida State to put up a better showing than the 'experts' are saying.
