Playoff Rankings - Michigan Replaces Ohio State at No. 2

November 30, 2021 by Staff

The top four remained unchanged except for Michigan replacing Ohio State at No. 2.  With no objections, Georgia still tops the poll of 13 committee members while Alabama stays at No. 3 and Cincinnati at No. 4.

Oklahoma State is the first team out with Notre Dame next.

Ohio State lands in the 7-spot after the 42-27 loss at Michigan.

Rounding out the top ten are Ole Miss, Baylor and Oregon.

Two teams fell out of the Top 25 with Wisconsin dropping from 14 to gone after suffering a 4th loss of the season at Minnesota. Meanwhile, UTSA's undefeated season ended with a loss at North Texas and the Roadrunners went from barely in at No. 22 to completely out.

The final rankings will be released this Sunday, beginning at Noon (eastern time) on ESPN, along with matchups for the Final Four and New Year's Six Bowl Games.

The College Football Playoff matches the No. 1 ranked team vs. No. 4, and No. 2 vs. No. 3 in semifinal games that rotate annually among six bowl games – the Cotton, Fiesta, Peach, Orange Bowl, Sugar and Rose. This season's Playoff Semifinals will take place Friday, December 31, 2021, at the Cotton and Orange Bowls. The College Football Playoff National Championship will be Monday, January 10, 2022, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
