September 8, 2020 by Staff

There has been very little notable change in the Congrove Computer Rankings (CCR Top 77) released late Monday night after just 9 games took place in the opening week of college football. The top ten is unchanged, led by Alabama in the top spot and followed closely by Clemson.

LSU stays at No. 3, while Oklahoma and Notre Dame round out the top five.

Texas A&M checks in at No. 6 as Virginia Tech, Florida, Georgia and Tennessee close out the top ten.

The only Top 25 team to play this past week was Memphis which stays at No. 16 after its 37-24 home win over Arkansas State.

BYU jumps from 54th to 33rd on the heels of a 55-3 beatdown of Navy while the Midshipmen plummet from 33rd to 56th.

With Kentucky checking in at No. 11 in SEC teams continue to hold 7 of the top 11 spots.

ACC teams occupy 6 of the top 17 positions.
