September 20, 2020 by Staff

The 4th edition of the 2020 Congrove Computer Rankings give us our first change among the top 4 as Notre Dame edges Oklahoma by all of 0.07 points. Alabama stays No. 1, followed by Clemson and LSU.

The SEC begins play this week.

The rankings will be severely shaken up when next week's release will include the Big Ten schools. At that point in that time, the CCR Top 77 will become the CCR Top 91. There will also be a revamping of the Preseason rankings released later this week. The Big Ten voted this past week to begin play on October 24.

Regarding this week's, Miami inched up from 24 to 22 with the win at Louisville which dropped from 18 to 23. But Appalachian State took a major stumble from 23 to 39 after the 17-7 upset loss at Marshall. The Herd moved from 41 to 38.

SEC teams continue to hold 7 of the top 11 spots and ACC teams occupy 6 of the top 17 positions.

The Big 12 has 4 of its 10 members among the Top 18.

The state of Texas has 4 of the Bottom 7 teams. Of the 77 teams playing at the moment, UTSA is No. 71, North Texas is 72, Texas State is 75 and UTEP is 77.
