Coaches' Poll - Top 8 Unchanged

September 17, 2023 by CollegeFootballPoll.com Staff

The top 8 remain unchanged in the third regular season Coaches' Poll for 2023, while Tennessee tumbles from 9th to 20th. Kansas State falls out of the Top 25, but leads those teams in the "others receiving votes category".

The Vols and Wildcats were the only members of last week's poll to lose over the weekend. Tennessee's struggles in Gainesville continued with a 29-16 loss in "The Swamp", and Kansas State fell on a walk-off 61-yard field goal at Mizzou.

Kansas State's exit opened the door for Washington State to creep into the Top 25 and No. 24.

Colorado moved up to 2 spots to No. 19 in advance of its trip to Oregon which is one of seven battles this week among Top 25 schools after there have been only three all season and zero last week.
