Alabama Tumbles To 6th In FBS Computer Rankings

Texas A&M's 41-38 upset of Alabama on Saturday dropped the Crimson Tide from the top spot to No. 6 in this week's Congrove Computer Rankings at CollegeFootballPoll.com which are now in their 29th season.

Georgia claims to "King of the Hill" status. The Bulldogs were 34-10 winners at rival Auburn.

Iowa stays at No. 2, just a mere 0.49 points behind Georgia, after its 23-20 win at home over then-No. 6 Penn State. The Nittany Lions drop to No. 10 this week.

Oklahoma and Michigan each scootch up 1 spot to 3rd and 4th, respectively, while Cincinnati gets a two-spot boost to No. 5.

Ohio State rises from 10th to 7th while Oklahoma State stays parked at No. 8.

Wake Forest moves into the Top Ten at No.9 after a 40-37 overtime win at Syracuse improved the Deacs to 6-0 for the first time since 1944.

BYU joins USC, Auburn and Oregon State as Top 25 drop-outs after all four teams took one on the chin on Saturday. The Cougars lost 26-17 at home to Boise State while the Trojans lost 42-26 at home to Utah, the Tigers were whipped 34-10 at home by Georgia, and the Beavers fell 31-24 at Washington State.
