Oregon and Penn State remain the top two teams in the FBS Congrove Computer Rankings at CollegeFootballPoll.com as the long Labor Day weekend schedule came to a close on Monday night with TCU's 48-14 destruction of North Carolina, ruining Bil Belichick's debut as head coach in front of the home crowd and a national TV audience on ESPN. (See recap).

Oregon rolled to a 59-13 win over Montana State which entered the game as the No. 3 team in the FCS rankings, while Penn State had no trouble at home with Nevada as they pounded the Wolf Pack 46-11.

LSU jumped 3 spots to No. 3 after scoring the mild road upset at Clemson, 17-10.

Ohio State rose from 8th to 4th on the strength of its 14-7 win at home over then-No. 5 Texas. The Longhorns dropped to 13th with the loss.

Iowa State has risen 4 spots to No. 5 since the first rankings were released ahead of the week zero games on August 23. The Cyclones downed Kansas State in Ireland on that date, 24-21, and followed up that victory with a 55-7 win at home over FCS member South Dakota.

Miami jumps from 11th to 6th after a 27-24 home win over then-No. 3 Notre Dame while the Irish slip to No. 10.

Illinois, Arizona State and Georgia fill the 7, 8 and 9 spots.
