The Boston Red Sox took Game 1 of a four-game weekend set against the New York Yankees last night in the Bronx.

Boston rallied from a 3-2 5th inning deficit with 4 unanswered runs as Roman Anthony's single to center scored David Hamilton to knot it up at 3 in the bottom of the 5th, Derek Lowe doubled to right to score Trevor Story to give the BoSox a 4-3 lead through 6, and Anthony smashed a 9th inning HR with Hamilton on second to finish off the 7-3 win. It was a productive night in Anthony's first game at Yankee Stadium as he went 2-for-5 with the homer and double while he also drew a walk and scored on a Hamilton sacrifice fly. He completed his stat line with a swinging strike out, a fly-out to left field, and a ground-out to the shortstop as he totaled 3 RBI.

Game 2 of the Red Sox-Yankees rivalry series is set for a 7:05 first pitch tonight. The teams are battling each other for the top wild card spot with the Yankees owning a 1/2-game edge. RHP Brayan Bello (9-6, 3.23 ERA) is scheduled to take the mound for Boston while the Pinstripes counter with LHP Max Fried (13-5, 3.26 ERA).

They're both chasing Toronto for first place in the AL East. The Blue Jays, who hold a 4.5-game advantage, had Thursday off and open a 3-game series at the Miami Marlins at 7:10 tonight.

Could Aaron Judge hit his 41st home run after slamming his 40th against Tampa Bay on Tuesday, or is there some better MLB home run prop action today?

Seattle trails Boston in the wild card chase by just a game and Kansas City is two back of the Mariners while the Cleveland Guardians are one game back of the Royals.

Kansas City is in Detroit where the Royals will face Terik Skubai, the MLB pitcher with the best ERA (2.32) and an 11-3 record.

Last night, Clayton Kershaw got his fourth straight win in as many starts.

The Dodgers begin the series with just a one game advantage over the Padres in the National League West.

San Diego actually trails the Chicago Cubs in the NL Wild Card race by a full game, and the New York Mets are 4-1/2 behind the Padres. The Cubs are home against the Minnesota Twins, and the Mets are visiting the Atlanta Braves

The Houston Astros, who have a 2-game lead over the Seattle Mariners in the NL West, are on the road at the Baltimore Orioles. Houston took game 1 last night by a 7-2 final.
