Sacramento State Is New No. 1 in FCS Computer Rankings

Sacramento State is the new No. 1 team as the Hornets switch places with Jackson State following Saturday's games. The latest edition of the FCS Congrove Computer Rankings was released shortly after the final weekend game was played.

Sacramento State is 7-0 for the first time in history after hosting a 31-24 overtime win over Montana. Meanwhile, Jackson State downed Campbell 22-14.

South Dakota State rises to No. 3 with its 49-35 win at North Dakota. The Jackrabbits are followed Holy Cross and Montana State to round the Top 5. The Crusaders survived an upset bid at Lafayette, 24-21. The Bobcats rise from 6th to 5th after a 43-38 home win over Weber State that knocked the Wildcats down from 3rd to 8th.

Princeton climbs to 6th with its decisive 37-10 win at Harvard. The Crimson plunge from 19th to 35th.

Incarnate Word jumps from 10th to 7th. The Cardinals were 70-0 winners over NAIA member Faulkner.

Idle North Dakota State climbs from 11th to 9th.

Chattanooga rises 3 spots and cracks the Top 10 after a 41-21 romp over Mercer.
