BUFFALO (-7) by 11.31 over Miami (Ohio) - The computer is 6-2 ATS with the Bulls, and 5-2 with the RedHawks. Buffalo is 0-9 vs. Miami since joining the MAC in 1999, but the Bulls are a much different team under head coach Turner Gill.
Buffalo won 37-17. The computer won SU, won ATS.
Thursday, November 6th
VIRGINIA TECH (-3.5) by 6.81 over Maryland - The Hokies have lost two straight on the road after going 15-1 in their first 16 ACC road games. This week, they return home as they try to avoid their first 3-game losing streak since the end of the 2003 season when a 3-game skid included a bowl loss. Virginia Tech is 21-3 at home since 2005. The Hokies have won the last three meetings with Maryland, though this is their first meeting since 2005.
Virginia Tech won 23-13. The computer won SU, won ATS.
Friday, November 7th
FRESNO STATE (-2.5) by 8.36 over Nevada - The Bulldogs have not lived up to expectations, but 2.5 at home is paltry, and the computer likes them by a good deal more.
Nevada won 41-28. The computer lost SU, lost ATS.
Saturday, November 8th
RICE (-9.5) by 13.35 over Army - Somehow, I just can't see the 111th-ranked offense of Army matching points with the 13th-ranked offense of Rice.
Rice own 38-31. The computer won SU, lost ATS.
BOSTON COLLEGE (-3.5) by 8.95 over Notre Dame - The Holy War rivalry between the only catholic schools playing football in the FBS. The series, which began in 1975 at Foxboro, is led 9-8 by Notre Dame. However, the Eagles have won 5 in-a-row and 6-of-7. The Fighting irish are 3-2 in games played at Chestnut Hill, but have lost the last two.
Boston College won 17-0. The computer won SU, won ATS.
Kansas (-1.5) by 7.18 over NEBRASKA - Two teams with strong passing offenses and lousy pass defenses. The Jayhawks dropped 76 points on the 'Huskers last year. Gotta like the 1.5 points when the computer says it's over 7.
Nebraska won 45-35. The computer lost SU, lost ATS.
MEMPHIS (-2.5) by 6.90 over SMU - The 117th-ranked Mustangs (1-8) visit the 85th-ranked Tigers (4-5). All that's being asked of Memphis is to win by a half-point less than the home field advantage.
Memphis won 31-26. The computer won SU, won ATS.
MICHIGAN STATE (-10) by 10.29 over Purdue - The Boilermakers have lost all three of their road games by at least 13 points. Michigan State snapped a 4-game losing streak to Purdue with last year's 48-31 win at West Lafayette. A loss eliminates Purdue from bowl consideration for just the second time since 1997.
Michigan State won 21-7. The computer won SU, won ATS.
TEXAS TECH (-3) by 7.23 over Oklahoma State - Not much respect being shown to the giant slayers as the Red Raiders are only getting home field advantage numbers. The home team has won the last six meetings in the series.
Texas Tech won 56-20. The computer won SU, won ATS.
