Bowden Goes Out A Winner

by CFP Staff
January 1, 2010

Bobby Bowden fittingly went out a winner as Florida State rallied from a 14-3 deficit to down West Virginia 33-21 in the Gator Bowl. It was a battle between the two teams Bowden served as head coach for the last 40 years. Bowden led West Virginia from 1970-1975 and Florida State from 1976-2009. He retires as the No. 2 all-time winningest coach with a record of 389-129-4. The win also secured his 33rd consecutive winning season in his 28th straight bowl appearance.

More to come.
