Sam Houston State Reclaims No. 1 Computer Ranking

Sam Houston State, the last undefeated team standing in the FCS, reclaims No. 1 by default after North Dakota State fell 27-19 at South Dakota State. The Bearkats inch upward from No. 2 a week ago while James Madison bumps up a spot to 2nd this week. The one-loss Bison only fall to No. 3 while the 2-loss Jackrabbits jump from 9th to 6th.

Sam Houston State was a 59-10 winner over Dixie State, and James Madison stuffed Campbell 51-14.

Montana State, a 23-20 winner at Eastern Washington, stays at No. 4 while the Eagles fall from 5th to 8th.

Kennesaw State makes the opposite move of EWU, ascending from 8th to 5th after a 45-21 win at Robert Morris.

UC Davis was a 40-24 winner at Norther Arizona and rises from 10th to 7th.

Villanova blanked Elon 35-0 and climbs from 13th to 9th.

Dartmouth moves back in to the Top Ten after a resounding 31-7 crushing of then 7th-ranked Princeton 31-7. The Tigers plummet to 15th.

Montana checks in at No. 11 to give the Big Sky 4 of the top 11 schools, while Sacramento State gives the conference a 5th program among the top 16.
