Sam Houston State won a 21st straight game on Saturday, 35-9 over Abilene Christian, and the Bearkats continue to top the FCS Congrove Computer Rankings from CollegeFootballPoll.com.

The reigning national champions secured an automatic bid to return to the NCAA playoffs a week ago.

SHSU continues to be followed by CAA runner-up James Madison and MVFC champ North Dakota State, but a loss by 4th-ranked Montana State to then-No. 8 Montana helped Big South champ Kennesaw State take 4th, Eastern Washington grab 5th and Montana take 6th.

Ivy League champ Dartmouth is still at No. 7, followed by CAA champion Villanova.

Montana State takes 9th, just ahead of Big Sky champion Sacramento State.
