FCS Computer Rankings: Montana Takes Over the Top Spot

Montana unseats North Dakota State at No. 1 in the latest FCS Congrove Computer Rankings, released early Sunday morning after the Bison experienced a rare, close loss at FBS member Arizona Saturday night.

NDSU actually fell two spots while Jackson State rose 3 spots from No. 5 to No. 2.

South Dakota State and Weber State round out the Top 5.

Montana State dropped from 2nd to 6th after the loss at Oregon State, leaving half of the top 6 schools with a loss to a FBS program.

Incarnate Word moves up a spot to No. 7, followed by Holy Cross (up 2), Sacramento State (up 3) and Dartmouth (up 1) to complete the Top Ten.

Four Big Sky teams make up the Top 9.

Villanova dropped from 7th to 19th after a 49-10 thumping at Army while Missouri State went from 9th to 14th after losing 38-27 at Arkansas.
