FCS Preview - Playoff Semifinals, Celebration Bowl

The semifinals of the FCS playoffs, as well as the Celebration Bowl, will take place this Friday and Saturday.

Deion Sanders will coach his last game at Jackson State as his Tigers represent the SWAC against North Carolina Central (9-2) of the MEAC at the Celebration Bowl in Atlanta. The Congrove Computer Rankings at CollegeFootballPoll.com give the Tigers (12-0) an 11.75-point edge in that HBCU National Championship game which will take place Saturday at Noon with TV coverage on ABC.

The first of the two FCS semifinal games is on Friday night at the FargoDome where North Dakota State will host Incarnate Word at 7 p.m. eastern time on ESPN-2. The computer picked the Cardinals' upset at Sacramento State, but gives the Bison by a 4.04 edge this week. UIW had coach G.J. Kinne is trying to take his team all the way to Frisco before he departs to take the full-time reins at Texas State.

The other semifinal game sends Montana State to South Dakota State for a 4 p.m. eastern time kickoff on ESPN-2.  The computer likes the Jackrabbits by a mere 1.64 points to avenge last year's 31-17 loss to the Bobcats in Bozeman.
