Penn State Moves To No. 1 In CCR Top 130

Penn State moves to No. 1 in the 2017 CCR Top 130 (Congrove Computer Rankings) after the first full weekend of the college football season, with Big Ten brethren Ohio State in second, and Wisconsin taking 3rd.

Alabama rises 3 notches to 4th while Florida State slides from 1st to 17th.

Oklahoma rounds out the top 5 after leap-frogging Stanford.

The Cardinal at No. 6 are followed by Clemson, Auburn, Tennessee and Washington.

The ACC and SEC each have 5 teams in the Top 25, followed by the Big Ten, Big 12 and PAC-12 with 4 apiece. The other 3 spots go to the American conference with 2, and the Independents with 1.

2nd-ranked Ohio State hosts No. 5 Oklahoma this weekend to lead a trio of matchups among highly-ranked squads. 8th-ranked Auburn heads to 7th-ranked Clemson, and No. 6 Stanford visits 11th-ranked USC.
