Boise State (10-1/7-0) at Hawai‘i (10-0/7-0)

SERIES LOOK: Boise State leads the series 6-2, winning all six games
since joining the WAC. The Broncos won last year in Boise, 41-34.
Hawai‘i’s last win came in 1999, 34-19, in Honolulu.
COACHES: Boise State’s Chris Petersen is in his second season with the
Broncos and is 23-1. Hawai‘i’s June Jones is in his ninth season with the
Warriors and has a record of 74-40.
GAME NOTES: Boise State – has a nine-game winning streak, the third
longest in the nation ... has won 17 straight WAC games ... has scored 50
or more points seven times this year ... leads the WAC in scoring defense
and total defense ... has won five straight WAC titles, four of which were
outright ... is 25-4 in nationally televised games. Hawai‘i – has an 11-game
winning streak, tied for the longest in the nation ... has shared two WAC
titles (1992, 1999) ... Colt Brennan and Davone Bess need two TDs to tie
the NCAA record for same passer and receiver combination of 39 held by
Louisiana Tech’s Tim Rattay and Troy Edwards ... is second in the WAC
in total defense and scoring defense.
Kansas State (5-6) at Fresno State (6-4)

SERIES LOOK: Fresno State won the only other game played between
the two teams when it beat the 13th-ranked Wildcats, 45-21, in 2004 at
Manhattan.
COACHES: Kansas State’s Ron Prince is in his second year with the
Wildcats and is 12-12. Fresno State’s Pat Hill is in his 11th season as a
head coach and has a record of 82-55.
GAME NOTES: Kansas State – hosted Missouri last week and lost 49-32
... James Johnson rushed for 172 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries in
that game ... Jordy Nelson is second in the nation in receptions (9.73) and
receiving yards (131.00) per game ... played a WAC team earlier this year
when it beat San Jose State 34-14 on Sept. 8 ... is just the second Big 12
team to ever play at Fresno State (Baylor-1997). Fresno State – leads the
nation in kickoff returns with a 29.6-yard average ... is second in the WAC
in sacks with 31 and sacks against with 17 ... has won five of its last seven
games after a 1-2 start ... is 21-4 since 2000 in November games.
Utah State (1-10/1-6) at Idaho (1-10/0-7)

SERIES LOOK: Idaho leads the series 16-15-2 after winning last year,
41-21 in Logan. Utah State’s last win came in 2004, 14-7, also in Logan.
COACHES: Utah State’s Brent Guy is in his third season with the Aggies
and is 5-29. Idaho’s Robb Akey is in his first year with the Vandals.
GAME NOTES: Utah State – is looking for back-to-back wins for the
first time since 2003 ... Kevin Robinson has 1,204 kickoff return yards, 10
shy of the WAC record of 1,214 set by SJSU’s Deonce Whitaker in 1998
... he leads the WAC and is seventh nationally in all-purpose yards with
197.7 per game ... QB/P Leon Jackson leads the WAC in punting with a
41.8-yard average ... has allowed 24 rushing touchdowns, the most since
2003 (24). Idaho – has lost nine straight game and 12 straight in the WAC
... has lost 15 straight against FBS opponents ... Shiloh Keo leads the WAC
and is second in the nation in punt returns with an 18.9-yard average ...
LB David Vobora leads the WAC and is second in the nation in tackles
with 12.4 per game ... Siua Musika leads the WAC and is fifth nationally
in fumbles forced with four.
Nevada (5-5/3-3) at San Jose State (4-7/3-4)

SERIES LOOK: Nevada leads the series 12-7-2 after winning the last
five meetings including last year in Reno, 23-7. San Jose State’s last win
came in 2001, 64-45, at home.
COACHES: Nevada’s Chris Ault is in his 23rd year with the Wolf Pack
and has a record of 190-83-1. He is a member of the College Football
Hall of Fame. San Jose State’s Dick Tomey is in his third season with the
Spartans and is 16-19. Overall, he is 174-129-7 in 27 years with stints at
Hawai‘i and Arizona.
GAME NOTES: Nevada – has won two straight WAC road games ...
needs to win one of its last two games to become bowl eligible ... Luke
Lippincott leads the WAC in rushing with 119.4 yards per game and has
reached the 100-yard mark in five straight contests. San Jose State – a
win would give the Spartans back-to-back seasons of a .500 record or better
in conference play for the first time since joining the WAC in 1996 ...
has won 11 of its last 13 home games ... has played four games without
committing a turnover this season.
