Hawai‘i (9-0/6-0) at Nevada (5-4/3-2)

SERIES LOOK: Nevada leads the series 6-5. Hawai‘i won last year in
Honolulu, 41-34. Nevada won the previous year in Reno, 38-28.
COACHES: Hawai‘i’s June Jones is in his ninth season with the Warriors
and has a record of 73-40. Nevada’s Chris Ault is in his 23rd year with the
Wolf Pack and has a record of 190-82-1. He is a member of the College
Football Hall of Fame.
GAME NOTES: The teams are the top two in the WAC in total offense. Hawai‘i – has won 10 straight games overall, tied for the longest streak in
the nation ... has a 13-game WAC winning streak and a seven-game road
winning streak ... Colt Brennan has thrown a TD pass in 34 consecutive
games, one shy of the NCAA record set by BYU’s Ty Detmer ... is also
tied with Detmer for NCAA records in career TD passes (121) and TDs
responsible for (135) ... Jason Rivers needs one catch to set new WAC record
for consecutive games with a reception. Nevada – has won three straight
games ... Luke Lippincott leads the WAC in rushing with 117.1 yards per
game and has rushed for more than 100 yards in four straight games ... he
has scored eight touchdowns in those four games.
Utah State (0-10/0-6) at New Mexico State (4-7/1-5)

SERIES LOOK: Utah State leads the series 25-6. New Mexico State
won last year in Logan, 42-20. Utah State won the previous year in Las
Cruces, 24-21.
COACHES: Utah State’s Brent Guy is in his third season with the Aggies
and is 4-29. New Mexico State’s Hal Mumme is in his third season with the
Aggies and is 8-27. Overall, he is 105-91-1 in 17 years with stints at Iowa
Wesleyan, Valdosta State, Kentucky and Southeastern Louisiana.
GAME NOTES: Utah State – has lost 16 straight games and 12 consecutive
on the road ... plays its last two games on the road ... has a 12-game
WAC losing streak ... Kevin Robinson is 27 all-purpose yards shy of 2,000

SERIES LOOK: Boise State leads the series 18-17-1 after winning eight
in a row including last year in Moscow, 42-26. Idaho’s last win came in
1998, 36-35, in overtime at Boise.
COACHES: Idaho’s Robb Akey is in his first year with the Vandals.
Boise State’s Chris Petersen is in his second season with the Broncos and
is 22-1.
GAME NOTES: Idaho – has lost eight straight games and 11 consecutive
in WAC play ... senior LB David Vobora leads the WAC in tackles with
12.4 per game ... freshman Deonte’ Jackson is third in the WAC in rushing
with 101.6 yards per game ... Shiloh Keo is second in the nation in punt
return average (18.9). Boise State – has an eight-game winning streak, the
third longest in the nation ... has won 16-straight WAC games ... has never
lost a WAC home game (27-0) ... has scored 80 points since its opponent
last scored ... is averaging 50.0 points per game in its last six contests ...
Ian Johnson is second in the WAC in rushing with 104.5 yards per game

San Jose State (4-6/3-3) at Louisiana Tech (4-6/3-3)

SERIES LOOK: San Jose State leads the series 4-2 after winning last
year in San Jose, 44-10. Louisiana Tech won the previous year in Ruston,
31-14.
COACHES: San Jose State’s Dick Tomey is in his third season with the
Spartans and is 16-18. Overall, he is 174-128-7 in 27 years with stints at
Hawai‘i and Arizona. Louisiana Tech’s Derek Dooley is in his first season
with the Bulldogs.
GAME NOTES: The two teams have both beaten and lost to the same teams
in WAC play this season. The winner of this game can still become bowl
eligible. San Jose State – leads the WAC in turnover margin (+12) and has
only lost one fumble ... is the least penalized team in the WAC (43.8 yards
per game) ... the cornerback tandem of Chris Owens and Dwight Lowery are
tied for the national lead in interceptions with 10 ... Kevin Jurovich needs
