SERIES LOOK: Boise State leads the series 9-4 and has won six straight.
The Broncos won last year in Boise, 49-10. Utah State’s last win came in
1997, 24-20, in Logan.
COACHES: Boise State’s Chris Petersen is in his second season with the
Broncos and is 21-1. Utah State’s Brent Guy is in his third season with
the Aggies and is 4-28.
GAME NOTES: Boise State – has a seven-game winning streak and has
won 15 straight WAC games ... has a 44-1 conference record since 2002,
the best in the nation ... leads the WAC in passing defense, scoring defense
and total defense ... has converted 51.5 percent of its third down tries, fi fth
best in the nation ... RB Ian Johnson is tied for the WAC lead in touchdowns
scored with 12 ... freshman PK Kyle Brotzman is 11-of-12 on fi eld goals and
has made all 44 of his PAT attempts. Utah State – has a 15-game losing
streak and has lost 11 conference games in a row ... leads the WAC and is

New Mexico State (4-6/1-4) at San Jose State (3-6/2-3)

SERIES LOOK: San Jose State leads the series 12-2 after winning last
season, 31-21, in Las Cruces. New Mexico State’s last win came in 1994,
24-21, at San Jose.
COACHES: New Mexico State’s Hal Mumme is in his third season with
the Aggies and is 8-26. Overall, he is 105-90-1 in 17 years with stints at
Iowa Wesleyan, Valdosta State, Kentucky and Southeastern Louisiana.
San Jose State’s Dick Tomey is in his third season with the Spartans and
is 15-18. Overall, he is 173-128-7 in 27 years with stints at Hawai‘i and
Arizona.
GAME NOTES: New Mexico State – has lost fi ve straight road games ...
is second in the WAC and sixth in the nation in passing offense ... Chase
Holbrook is three yards shy of tying the school record for career passing
yards (7,480-Cody Ledbetter). San Jose State – has a three-game losing

SERIES LOOK: Fresno State leads the series 20-18-1. Hawai‘i won
last year in Fresno, 68-37, while Fresno State won the previous year in
Honolulu, 27-13.
COACHES: Fresno State’s Pat Hill is in his 11th season as a head coach
and has a record of 82-54. Hawai‘i’s June Jones is in his ninth season with
the Warriors and has a record of 72-40.
GAME NOTES: Fresno State – has 27 sacks on the season, tied with
Boise State and Hawai‘i for the WAC lead ... has allowed a WAC-low 12
sacks ... freshman RB Ryan Mathews is tied for the WAC lead in touchdowns
scored with 12. Hawai‘i – has a nine-game winning streak and has
won 12 conference games in a row ... is looking for its fi rst 9-0 start since
1925 ...this is the fi rst of four consecutive nationally televised games for
the Warriors ... has scored at least 32 points in 18 straight games ... Colt
Brennan is two TD passes shy of tying the NCAA career record of 121 set

SERIES LOOK: LSU leads the series 16-1. The teams last played in
2003 when LSU won 49-10, at home. Tech’s only win came in 1904,
6-0, in Ruston.
COACHES: Louisiana Tech’s Derek Dooley is in his fi rst season with the
Bulldogs. LSU’s Les Miles is in his third season with the Tigers and is
30-5. Overall, he is 58-26 in seven seasons as a head coach.
GAME NOTES: Louisiana Tech – is playing its third straight road game ...
leads the WAC and is fi fth in the nation in interceptions with 17 ... Antonio
Baker has intercepted a pass in three straight games ... DL Chris Pugh leads
the WAC in sacks with 6.5. LSU – played at Alabama last week and won
41-34 ... trailed 34-27 with under three minutes to play before scoring two
touchdowns ... Matt Flynn threw for 353 yards with three touchdowns and
three interceptions ... Demetrius Byrd caught six passes for 144 yards and
