Oklahoma, last week's 2nd-ranked team in the Congrove Computer Rankings, was upended by Texas on Saturday. In addition, teams ranked 9th, 11th, 12th, 15th, 16th, 19th, 20th, 22nd, 24th and 25th also went down to defeat. As a result, the computer's top 25 saw a major shakeup, though only one team - LSU - fell out of the Top 10.

No. 9 LSU fell to Florida; No. 11 Kentucky lost to Texas A&M, No. 12 Michigan was upended by Northwestern, No. 15 Auburn lost to Mississippi State, No. 16 Stanford was clubbed by Utah; No. 19 Missouri was downed by South Carolina; No. 20 Oklahoma State was toppled by Iowa State; No. 22 Boston College came up short at N.C. State, No. 24 Boise State lost to San Diego State, and No. 25 Virginia Tech was taken down by Notre Dame.

Ten of the 11 teams lost to an opponent from within their own conference. Virginia Tech lost to Notre Dame which could be considered a quasi-member of the ACC.

Ohio State stays at No. 1, though Alabama narrowed the gap to finish a close 2nd ahead of Clemson which moved up from 5th. Notre Dame stays 4th, and Georgia climbed from 6th to 5th.

Michigan creeps up to 6th from 7th, while Oklahoma falls down to 7th from 2nd. Penn Stays 8th, Washington takes 9th and Wisconsin moves up to 10th.

Six teams tumbled out of the Top 25.
