Computer Rankings: Clemson Drops to 5th as Ohio State and LSU Hold On To 1st and 2nd

Clemson's narrow escape over North Carolina cost the Tigers two spots in the latest Congrove Computer Rankings, released after the conclusion of the final Saturday night game. The Tigers slide to 5th, behind top-ranked Ohio State, No. 2 LSU, 3rd-ranked Georgia and No. 4 Alabama.

The rest of the top 10 begins with Auburn at No. 6, followed by Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Penn State and Iowa.

The top ten is dominated by the Big Ten and the SEC, which each have four representatives. The ACC and Big 12 each have 1.

The Big Ten also has 7 of the top 25 teams while the SEC has 6. The ACC and PAC-12 each have 4, followed by the Big 12 with 3 and 1 independent.

Utah re-enters the top 25 at No. 20, and Duke makes its first appearance at No. 22. Undefeated Wake Forest pops in at No. 23, and Arizona State takes the 25th spot.

The four drop-outs this week are Iowa State (19th to 28th), Kansas State (24th to 31st), Washington State (20th to 32nd), and Mississippi State (25th to 34th).
