The Harris Poll debuts
this Sunday as the AP's replacement in the BCS Standings. Who
are the wonderful people who will be voting in the new Harris
Poll?
How about hall-of-fame QB and NFL pregame show panelist Terry
Bradshaw, embattled ex-Arizona and Texas football coach John
Mackovic, hall-of-fame NFL receiver and former U.S. congressman
Steve Largent and, get this, former BCS and SEC commissioner
Roy Kramer.
Gene Bartow, the former basketball coach of Memphis, UCLA and
UAB has a voice in what school has the best football team.
Former NFL stars Boomer Esiason, Tim Mandich and Don Maynard
will also be submitting a weekly ballot.
In all, there are 114 panelists who will submit their top 25
rankings each week to compile what is officially called the Harris
Interactive College Football Poll. The first poll will be released
this coming Sunday. After that, it will be a weekly release through
December 4th. The final vote will reveal each panelists' ballot.
