Saturday, October 23
Western Michigan by (-7) by 10.35 over AKRON - The ZIps have lost every game this season by at least 11 points with the lone exception of a 1-point loss to FCS member Gardner-Webb.
Western Michigan won 56-10. The computer won SU, won ATS.

ARIZONA (-4.5) by 9.93 over Washington - Basically, the 4-1/2-point spread is only a 1-1/2 over home field advantage. The computer is 3-2 ATS with the Wildcats and 3-3 with the Huskies which aren't bad records given the way this entire season has gone for practically anyone who has kept track of an ATS record.

CALIFORNIA (-1) by 11.89 over Arizona State - Too much of a disparity in the "Vegas" spread and the computer's projected margin to ignore this game. Cal's season has been a short version of "The Good, The Bad and the Ugly". They only need to be 2 or 3 points better than the Sun Devils this week.
Cal won 50-17. The computer won SU, won ATS.

LOUISIANA-LAFAYETTE (-3) by 13.07 over Western Kentucky - Western Kentucky is coming off a game in which it gave up 28 points in the 4th quarter to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Had they held on against La.-Monroe, they could have halted the nation's longest current losing streak at 25 games. Instead, it is at 26 and counting. By the way, if you only count FBS teams, the streak is at 31 in-a-row.

TCU (-16) by 20.39 over Air Force - Ultimately, TCU has too strong of a defense and just enough fire power to eclipse the 16 points at home. The computer is a combined 12-2 SU with these teams and 7-5 ATS.

BOSTON COLLEGE (-4.5) by 7.34 over Maryland - Boston College hasn't played as well as most people thought they would, and Maryland has been a little better than believed. Nonetheless, the computer has been doing well with both teams as it has recorded a combined 10-2 SU mark and a 7-3 ATS record with these teams.
Maryland won 24-21. The computer lost SU, lost ATS

PITT (-8) by 9.42 over Rutgers - Rutgers needed overtime to dispatch Army last weekend. The Scarlet Knights will be playing this game for DT Eric LeGrand who was paralyzed in Saturday's win. The computer is 4-2 SU, 3-2 ATS with each team.
Pitt won 41-21. The computer won SU, won ATS.

CLEMSON (-5.5) by 1.53 over Georgia Tech - I'm putting my 41-2 SU record on the line with this one as I wouldn't be surprised if Georgia Tech wins outright.
Clemson won 27-13. The computer won SU, lost ATS.

EAST CAROLINA (-12) by 9.93 over Marshall - The computer is 4-2 ATS with each of these teams.
East Carolina won 37-10. The computer won SU, lost ATS.

Nebraska (-3) by 2.72 over OKLAHOMA STATE - The computer is 5-0 ATS with the Cornhuskers and 3-3 with Oklahoma State. The Cowboys are averaging 46.17 points per game which is a lot of offense to suppress, especially at home.
Nebraska won 51-41. The computer won SU, lost ATS.

VIRGINIA TECH (-27) by 26.98 over Duke - These are two of the computer's best teams this year. It is 6-1 SU, 5-1 ATS with the Hokies. And it is 5-1 SU, 4-1 ATS with the Blue Devils.
Virginia Tech won 44-7. The computer won SU, lost ATS.

Saturday, October 23
BOWLING GREEN by 3.26 over Kent State (-3) - Kent State was a Vegas favorite over Toledo last week and the computer had the Rockets for a win. I have no problem with the computer liking BGSU at home this week over the Golden Flashes. The computer is 5-2 SU with the Falcons and 5-1 with Kent.
Kent won 30-6. The computer lost SU, lost ATS.

North Carolina by 0.17 over MIAMI, FLA. (-7) - A 7-point opening spread for Miami surprised me - I expected a "pick 'em". The computer is 4-2 SU with each team. It's 3-3 ATS with the Heels and 2-3 with the 'Canes.
